Assassin bug (Platymeris rhadamanthus)

One of the most attractive representatives of this genus which is gaining on popularity with herp enthusiasts. Fearless little bugs that they are, they attack prey many times their own size. Aside from rostrum, which they use to inject venom, they are capable of spraying it towards potential threat/predator with great accuracy, so caution is advised when handling.
